The 2006 Hall China Convention will be held March 31 through April 2 2006 at the Courtyard by Marriott, Downtown Springfield, Ohio. "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" will be the overall theme. The featured topic at this year’s seminar will be the spectacular designs of Ernest Sohn. Gary and Paula Barnebey and Barbara Johnston are busy putting the seminar together.

This year’s showroom is sure to be as impressive as any with a couple collectors agreeing to bring their Wild Poppy collections. Collectors are asked to bring Wild Poppy pieces, any Hall items made for the airline or train industry, Automobile teapots, or any Hall piece they are willing to bring and share. Leonard Touchton will be coordinating the fabulous showroom. Karen and Mike Parkinson have volunteered to coordinate the food for the hospitality room again for 2006, with the generous donations of many convention attendees. Bill Johnston will continue to run the Saturday morning china sale, Dave Preston will keep track of everyone’s lids and bodies for sale, and Denise Sherwin will be handling the raffles. As Barbara has repeatedly pointed out, the raffles really help keep the convention going since the registration fee simply covers the cost of the meals and the commemorative item. If anyone has a piece of Hall they are willing to donate to the raffle, please contact Beverly Cwalina, at bcwalina@cobweb.net or call at 724-942-1492. I will admit that the commemorative item has been my biggest fear, so I am especially excited to be working toward a really fun item for 2006.

Please feel free to contact me, Beverly Cwalina, at bcwalina@cobweb.net or call me at 724-942-1492. Looking forward to seeing you all in 2006!

Hall Tri-Tone, just one of many displays at last year's convention

For those who have attended in the past, you know there are three huge antique malls in the area where all the dealers bring out their best Hall pieces to sell during our convention. We also have an awesome Hall China sale on Saturday morning, when we have 50 plus tables of wonderful Hall items, as well as “go-with” items to complete your collections.
